Big week!

Today is Carsyn's first day at the Peoria Child Care center!! We had a great commute together this morning; she ate her cocoa puffs and made silly faces at me, and talked about all sorts of funny little nothings. You can read about her "school" here: http://www.peoriachildcare.net/PCC_Web_Site/Home_Page.html She has a class schedule and curriculum; it is going to be so good for her developmentally and emotionally! I can't wait to watch her thrive :) Just having her with me that much longer has already made my Monday the BEST MONDAY EVER. I wish I had the extra time with Cady, too. She and I will have a lot of one-on-one time with her surgery this week. She and I worked on "Cady signs" last night, that way if she can't talk or is in too much pain, I will know what her "sign language" means :D

Life's a dance...

It always amazes me how much energy a child can have. Even after waking up early to get ready for school before I leave for work, spending a 7 hours learning and discovering new things with 18 other overly energetic children, running her short little legs off at soccer practice, and coming home to fight with her sister over any little thing...Cady still is not ready for bed.

Last night, after dinner, she was determined to put on a ballet show. We found a channel on satellite that played classical music, and watched her and Carsyn dance, and dance, and dance, and Dance, and DANCE. On their toes, leaping across the carpet, leaping over eachother, log rolling, and break dancing; they would not have stopped for hours if we hadn't turned their music off.

The funniest part of it all (over and above watching their "freestyle ballet") was the stories their interpretive dance told. They were dancing fairies, and as the music rose in crescendo, Cady announced the bad witch had come and snatch one of the fairies! As the drums beat loudly, the fairy beat her fists against the glass jar. The music played allegro as the fairies flew quickly to save their friend...it was a dramatic and detailed story from a five year old, but I know better than to expect anything less, so I played along.

By 8:00, I laid down with them to read a story before bed...and that is where I fell asleep. Before either of them. Lol.

Welcome to our Circus!

Welcome to our little blog! There is so much going on in our lives right now: work, school, soccer...Cady's tonsillectomy scheduled for Thursday, September 1! I thought this might be a fun way for everyone to keep up with our precious (busy) girls! I plan to post some of their every day "funnies", as well as photos of them and their various activities. Feel free to comment, as I will share them with the girls! Thanks for visiting, come again soon!
